Welcome to your journey.

I’m excited you have decided to take steps toward healing, and I’m honored you have chosen me to guide you along the way. My goal is to make the process as smooth and supportive as possible, whether this is your first time in therapy or you’ve been here before. If you have any questions before we meet, don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to helping you on your journey toward growth, healing, and clarity.

Before we begin…

Before your first visit, you’ll need to complete some paperwork in the client portal. It takes about 15–20 minutes, and I’ll send you a reminder to make sure everything is set before we meet. All sessions are 50 minutes long.

In-Person Visits

If you’re visiting my office:

  • Parking. My office is located in a building with plenty of parking available.

  • The space. I work in a professional office building with several other therapists and please note I sublease a space with the name “Get Unstuck” on the door but that is my office. You’ll wait in a comfortable waiting room until I come to collect you at the start of your session.

Remote Sessions

If you’re meeting with me remotely:

  • Find a private, comfortable spot. Many clients choose to talk from a quiet room at home, but I’ve also had clients attend sessions from their cars when privacy is hard to come by. Please be sure your car is in ‘park’ while we meet. It’s actually illegal for us to have a session while you’re driving.

  • Session reminders. My client portal will send you a reminder before your session, and we’ll meet via a secure platform to ensure your privacy.

Billing and Insurance

While I do not accept insurance, you can submit claims directly to your provider, which may offer partial reimbursement for services. Please contact your insurance company to learn more about your benefit plan.

I do not accept insurance for several reasons, and I believe this approach benefits you as my client:

  1. Your privacy matters. Insurance companies can access details about your sessions, which I believe infringes on confidentiality.

  2. You control your care. Insurance companies often dictate how often you can be seen, limiting the support you may need.

  3. Consistency in care. If your insurance changes, you won’t have to switch therapists during a critical time in treatment.

Instead, I keep things simple:

  • After each session, your credit card on file will be charged, and you’ll receive an invoice marked “paid.” Credit cards are kept on file to streamline our sessions and minimize administrative distractions, allowing us to focus fully on your care.

  • Each month, I’ll send you a superbill through the client portal, which includes all the information you need to submit for potential reimbursement from your insurance.

  • HSA/FSA cards are accepted and can also be kept on file or used to submit your superbill.

Let’s begin.
